Building Your Investment Foundation
Starting from zero can feel overwhelming. You hear people talk about portfolios and dividends, but nobody explains the basics without jargon.
Our program walks you through everything step by step. We cover how markets actually work, what different investment types do, and how to build a strategy that fits your life. Not someone else's life — yours.
Classes start in September 2025, with evening sessions twice a week. We keep groups small so you can ask questions without feeling lost in a crowd.
What You'll Actually Learn
The program breaks down into three main phases. Each one builds on the last, so concepts stick instead of flying over your head.
Market Fundamentals
How stocks, bonds, and ETFs function. What moves prices up or down. Reading basic financial news without confusion.
We also cover common mistakes beginners make — buying high out of excitement, selling low from panic. Understanding these patterns helps you avoid them.
Weeks 1-8Risk and Portfolio Design
Building a diversified portfolio means more than just owning different stocks. It's about balancing growth potential with stability based on your timeline.
You'll learn asset allocation strategies, how to evaluate your risk tolerance honestly, and ways to adjust as your situation changes.
Weeks 9-16Practical Implementation
Opening accounts, understanding fees, setting up automatic contributions. The mechanical stuff that trips people up.
We walk through real platform demos and tax considerations specific to Canadian investors. Plus how to track performance without obsessing over daily fluctuations.
Weeks 17-24Typical Weekly Schedule
